Recent Ebay Sales - 1/31/13

I celebrated my 33rd birthday on Monday and had a wonderful day. I love birthdays and I love getting older (so far!).

My hubby brought home a pizza for supper. Yum! I hadn't had milk in weeks since I found out I am sensitive to it. It was wonderful but my stomach paid for it later that night.

Yesterday I had a few bites of mac-n-cheese from Cracker Barrel and then I broke out in a rash. I now have the rash on my back, legs and arms. So, no more milk for me! :(

I have a huge pile of inventory I need to get listed. And with the snow storm in progress, it is a perfect time to stay home and list. We have 50 mph winds right now and a few inches of snow on the ground with 3-6 inches more on the way. Hope the power stays on so I can get some stuff listed!

Here is what has sold within the last few days:

1. Anthropologie brand 'Moulinette Soeurs' dress, sold for $37.

2. Le Suit navy blue & white dot skirt in a plus size. Sold for $15 within a week of listing. I only mention this sale since I got this item for 20 cents. I would normally pass right by this since skirt since it wasn't a great brand name. Even if I would have paid 'full price' ($3), I still would have made a profit.

3. Jones New York skirt & jacket suit, sold for $42.

4. Coldwater Creek floral print dress, sold for $20.

5. Tommy Hilfiger denim skirt, sold for $15. Another 20 cent purchase.

6. Ann Taylor floral skirt, sold for $20.

7. Flax oversized jacket, sold for $26.

8. Cache purple dress, sold for $27.

I love Sundays!

I love Sundays. Especially Sundays where I teach children's church. And Sundays where I bring cookies to church.

This morning I got to do both! Yesterday I baked several different types of cookies and brought them in this morning. Everyone is always so appreciative of them and it makes me feel good. I love doing the detailed piping work on the sugar cookies.

Chocolate peppermint cookies, chocolate chip cookies, snicker doodle cookies, sugar cookies with apple cinnamon sprinkles, sugar cookies with chocolate raspberry crystals and ice cream cone shaped sugar cookies in different colors. Fun!

I had a group of 12 kids today - the perfect size for the small class room. We are separating the group soon but for now, I am teaching kids ages 4 through 11. There is a BIG difference between teaching a 4 year old and an 11 year old. It makes it fun.

Like when I was teaching the lesson today on salvation and one of the 4 year olds raised their hand and asked the question "Were you ever a baby?". Ummm...yes...but that has nothing to do with anything. The older kids get a kick out of the younger ones.

Every time I teach, we have an ice cream soda and snack. Today we had Code Red, Fanta Orange and vanilla ice cream. (I'm sure all the parents appreciate me giving their children sugar - ha!) It keeps the kids quiet during the lesson. Then we have a craft. It goes by so fast and I always learn something while preparing the lesson.

What do you like about Sundays?

Recent Ebay Sales - 1/24/13

My hubby & I were in Ohio for the last two days. We went there to THRIFT and found a lot of inventory which I will be listing over the next few days.

And...on another note...I don't need a third knee surgery! Yippee. I am getting a cortisone injection later today to help with the pain. Hope it helps since I am tired of taking Advil every day.

Here is what has sold recently:

1. CAbi striped top. I listed this top last night and it sold within hours. Sold for $33.

2. Eileen Fisher black sweater, sold for $24.

3. Anthropologie "Hei Hei" pants, sold for $24.

4. Chico's Zenergy jacket, sold for $45.

5. Garnet Hill tiered dress, sold for $23. This would have went for more but there were three little holes in the fabric.

6. Anthropologie "Fei" smocked skirt, sold for $27.

7. Ralph Lauren black floral skirt, sold for $21.

8. Ann Taylor blue & white dress, sold for $23.

9. Michael Simon Lite heart dress, sold for $22. I purchased a dress & top in a set for $4. The top sold for $20 so I got $42 for the set.

10. April Cornell long floral dress, sold for $25. Sold within a day of listing.

11. Talbots salmon-colored skirt & jacket suit, sold for $25.

12. Cache floral halter dress, sold for $25.

13. Lot of Covergirl mascara. My local Big Lots had a TON of make-up on clearance. These mascaras were 25-50 cents a piece. I purchased all of them plus a lot of others that are currently listed. This lot of 8 sold for $20.

14. Vera Bradley skirt & jacket set, sold for $30. This sold within a week of listing which took me by surprise. I passed this at the thrift for weeks since they wanted $7 for it. I purchased it when it was half off.

15. Theory mustard colored mini skirt, sold for $25.

16. Lululemon sports bra. I purchased this on ebay for myself for $10 with free shipping. I got it, wore it a time or two and then decided I didn't like the fit. I re-listed it for $25 and it sold within hours of listing.

17. Chico's Design printed top, sold for $20.

18. Ludwig vintage tom tom stand, sold for $82. This was my hubby's and he didn't need it anymore. What is sitting around your home that you can sell?

19. Michael Kors jersey black skirt, sold for $25.

20. J. Crew pinstripe skirt, sold for $23.

21. Calypso St. Barth mini skirt, sold for $20.

22. Betsey Johnson velvet cat print skirt, sold for $65.

Most of my items go for under $20 and so I don't post them on here. Since I get almost all my items for just 20 cents to a few dollars each, this still makes me a profit.

So far in January, I have sold $4300. Of course this isn't pure profit. There is inventory costs, mileage, ebay & paypal fees, etc. But, I remind myself that this is just as profitable as any 'real job' would be and it keeps me going
