We don't have fiber optics, but the LED strings are getting cheaper...we get the tree up maybe a week before the event, and it stays up until our tall son (6 ft 3) goes back to college. A fake tree is fine, it is the memories that come along for Christmas that stays with us, even as the little kids are now much bigger...
I grew up on Long Island, moved to PA for college and met my amazing hubby there. After living in PA for 13 years, we moved down to sunny FL. We have been married for 14 years. I have CRPS.
