Day 17 Isagenix Update

I am more than half way done with my Isagenix 30-day plan. The plan calls for measurements on day 1, day 8, day 18 and day 30. I did mine this morning and I have lost 15 inches from my body in 17 days. An inch off of each thigh, 2" off my rear and 3" off my waist plus some other areas.

I won't weigh in until Friday but I was pretty excited that my waist was down 3 inches.

Yesterday the hubby & I went to a party and although they had a huge spread of amazing food, I ate just fresh fruit. I ate a healthy salad before I went and some yogurt when we came home. I didn't want to ruin my weight loss and so it was easier to abstain from eating cookies, cake, cheesy potatoes, sloppy joes, etc.

Here is a photo from the party. Notice how my knee & calf are still swollen. Poor knee!

Today I woke up with an intense cough. I am supposed to be going thrifting. I have cold medicine stocked up and ready to go. Hopefully it works. Want more info. on Isagenix? Here is my original post about the subject: LINK

And a Monday link-up for you:

Recent Ebay Sales

I am trying to clear stuff out before our summer vacations. Every single thing (around 350?) that I have for sale was put on a 7-day listing at a lower price. People can bid on them or buy them now. And I have been selling & packaging like crazy.

This is something I bought YESTERDAY and it sold last night. It was at a thrift for $19.99. I looked at it and put it back. My phone doesn't have signal strength in that thrift and so I couldn't check to see what they were selling for on ebay. I went a little further up the road to another thrift and finally had signal strength. After shopping at the second thrift, I went back to the first and picked it up. It sold within hours for $169.99! After ebay & paypal fees that is about a $120 profit. Woo-hoo!

1. Luminess Air Brushing Kit, new in the box

2. Alberto Makali jacket, sold for $23.

3. J. Crew skirt - I was in love with this print! Sold for $33.

4. Talbots linen skirt, sold for $19.

5. Kate Spade purse, sold for $76. I purchased this new at TJ Maxx on clearance. I listed it and made a $40 profit.

6. Another Talbots skirt, sold for $19.

7. A Chico's top, sold for $16.
I had a bunch of other sales for under $20. My average item sells for about $20-$28 and so my profit per piece is around $12-$20. If you sell enough of these types of items, you can make a living.

Here is what my day usually looks like:

7am: wake-up & print shipping labels before the mail carrier comes at 9am to pick up my packages
9am: take a shower, get ready for the day (if I am thrifting that day, I am out of the house by 8-8:30am and I wake up at 6am)
10am: Start taking photos of the items I purchased at the thrift
11am: The hubby wakes up and I spend time with him
12pm: Start listing. I list & take photos on & off the entire day
5pm: Package items that sold that day & answer emails
7pm: Spend more time with the hubby
9pm: Do one last check of the email before going to sleep

On a thrifting day, I shop until around 2pm (depending on how my knee is) and then come home & wash the clothing. And then I print labels.

I print labels every single day. I know as a buyer, I love the excitement of getting a package in the mail and I want it to come as soon as possible.

I do take off at least one day a week and today is that day. Every single item I have is listed on ebay. Nothing needs washed or fixed and nothing needs packaged since tomorrow is Sunday and there is no mail pick up. It is a gorgeous day and I intend to spend it outside. I still cannot walk long distances due to my knee surgery but I am going to read a book in the hammock.

Isagenix Weight Loss Update....

I just finished up my second cleanse day on Isagenix. I am about 1/2 way through my 30 day program. Today is day 15 and I thought since I had two weeks under my belt, I would share my weight loss with you.

I have lost 7 pounds in 14 days. I am amazed. I really thought it would around 5 pounds but when I stepped on the scale...wow.

I have two weeks left and my goal was to lose 8-10 pounds.

If you are considering Isagenix, here are a few thoughts I have.

-For about $10 a day, the program gives you two supplement shakes, some pills to "flush" your system and a check off chart. They give you a few other things but these were the main items. Could I have done this myself? Yes. Would I have done this by myself? No. It was well worth the $324 just to be accountable and to have the shakes. I ordered chocolate and they taste great with a few drops of peppermint extract.

-I have not been exercising at all. In fact, I have been moving less since my knee surgery. If you would add exercise, I am sure you would see better results.

-Instead of choosing the one 400-600 calorie meal a day, I have been using my calories throughout the day so I don't feel like I am starving. 2 cups of fresh spinach, 1 cup of shredded carrots, a cup of strawberries, 3 oz of Tyson grilled chicken strips and 20 squirts of my 1-calorie dressing is a total of 200 calories.

-I feel lighter. My stomach has lost 3 inches in two weeks and my face is thinner. Once you start to see results, the program becomes easier.

-I had headaches for the first 2 days and now feel great. I haven't had a headache since. I am sure the first two days my body went into some kind of shock.

-On the cleanse days (every 7 days), I eat an apple and Isagenix does provide drinks for these days as well as "chalk" snacks. They are actually quite tasty when you are super hungry. I also eat a granola bar before going to bed. I am one of those people that cannot go to bed hungry. I wake up too easily.

-I have used some of my calories to have a cookie and a few M&Ms. This isn't considered "cheating" since you are within the calorie count. Would Isagenix want you to eat healthy every single day? Yes. Is that almost impossible to do for most people. Yup.

-There is a 30-day money back guarantee. If you don't like the program, you can return it.

-I have not been paid or compensated at all for this program. I purchased it on my own and just wanted to journal my weight loss along the way. Want more info? Here is my original post with more information: LINK.

Recent Ebay Sales

I have had about 70 items sell on ebay during the last few days. Obviously that is too many to post on my blog and so I picked out just a few to share.

1. Talbots dress with little embroidered lobsters, sold for $22.

2. Chico's Travelers separates in their size "3" (one of the larger sizes) sell well for me. These pants went for $20. The matching top sold for $17. I broke them up but they were both purchased by the same buyer.

3. A Chico's skirt, also in a size 3, that sold for $19.

4. CAbi is one of those brands that I don't have access to much at my thrifts. However when I find it, I almost always pick it up. This skirt sold for $27.

5. Boden is another brand I love to sell. Remember when selling these that the size on the label is the UK size and the US size is a size or two smaller. This dress sold for $30.

6. Polo by Ralph Lauren is a men's line that is still going strong. The vintage pieces can bring hundreds and even thousands of dollars on ebay. These pants were new and went for $50. I am in love with the crazy patchwork!
7. Items that sold for $20:

Quacker Factory black & red embroidered set, Betsey Johnson dress, Talbots pink dress & jacket set, Ralph Lauren zebra dress, vintage Hawaiian dress, Sweet Pea maxi dress & an Ann Taylor black & white dress.

Tomorrow I am going shopping again after a bit of a break. My knee needs time to heal and I am trying to rest more in between thrifting trips.

And...tomorrow I will post my weight. I am finishing up another cleanse day. I am also half way through my 30 day Isagenix cleanse (woo-hoo!) and am on track to get to my goal weight by the end.

Pity Party

I am linking up with Pink Slippers for this post:

Today marks THREE WEEKS since I had my "simple" knee operation. The doctor went in and scraped out the old tissue and cut and removed my plica band. Before surgery I asked for the best and worst case scenarios since my hubby & I are off to Ireland next month for our 10 year wedding anniversary.

The doctor said that I would be back on my feet the very next day. The best case scenario would be a heal time of a few days and the worst case scenario would be a 6 week heal time.

I thought to myself "I am young, active and will heal quick". Well, I was wrong (probably about all three). I am 32 years old, only moderately active (if you could packaging ebay items and getting up of the office chair for snacks) and heal VERY slowly.

It has been three weeks. My knee is still swollen and bruised. I cannot bend it more than 90 degrees. I cannot walk up and down stairs without intense pain. I cannot walk more than the length of the house without it hurting.

I have come to the conclusion that I am a baby when it comes to these types of things. Everyone tells me I am a positive person and always have a smile on my face.

Well today I feel like crying. We leave for Ireland in just a few weeks. I want to walk the beaches of Ireland; I want to climb castles.

I am having myself a pity party. When I was younger my mom use to say to me "If you are going to have a pity party, go to your room." If my mom was here, she would send me to my room.

.I am the one in the middle with the bowl haircut.

I'm the one squeezing that poor little girl (my cousin).

I realize there are so many blessings in my life and I could make a long list of them (but I won't). We sponsor children in third world countries through Compassion International and when we send them a bit extra, they buy things like goats and seeds and a second pair of clothing. It is heart breaking.

I realize all of this and yet my silly little knee problem is making me want to cry. And so I will allow myself a small pity party and try to get it out of my system.

I may have to send myself to my room.

No, it is not Halloween...

This is a recent photo of my father-in-law. He was coming out of the barber shop and fell on concrete. He has fallen a few times before but this may be the worst yet. Notice how he still has a smile on his face.

And a photo of my husband and his dad. The hubby is holding up two fingers since this was what we are calling "Round Two". Round One was last year when his dad has his first run-in with the concrete outside our house.

List FREE on ebay today!

I have about 200 items coming off of ebay today, about 50 of them have bids and will sell. But the other 150 will need relisted.

This would usually cost me between 20 cents to re-list as Fixed Priced (buy-it-now) listings or 50 cents & up to list as Auction style listings.

But ebay has a one-day sale going on today (May 16). You can list anything on auction (where people bid on the item) for free. You can also add a "buy it now" to your auctions for free.

Here is the ebay announcement:  LINK

Happy listing!

Recent Ebay Sales

I have over 200 items ending tomorrow and about 30 of them have bids right now. I am guessing that by the time tomorrow rolls around, I will have about 1/4 of them sold. It will be a busy day of packaging!

Here are a few things that have sold over the last couple of days.

1. Urban Outfitters "Ecote" brand tunic. Sold for $16.50.

2. Ann Taylor suit, sold for $37.

3. Oscar de la Renta dress & jacket, sold for $29.

4. Another batch of Box Tops for Education, a lot of 250 sold for $22.50.

5. A vintage 1920's dress - sold for $152!!! I was shocked with this one.

6. Ann Taylor LOFT white dress, sold for $18.

7. An authentic Prada skirt, sold for $25. It went for a lower amount (and I knew it would) because it is boring and without any logos on the outside.

8. Michael Simon twinset, sold for $35.

9. J. Crew sweater, sold for $20.

10. Ann Taylor animal print dress, sold for $25. I thought this would go for a lot more...but I guess I was wrong!

11. Anne Klein suit, sold for $37.
12. Talbots skirt, sold for $20.

Day 10 Isagenix Update

For the last 10 days I have eaten extremely healthy, low calories meals. I have been using the Isagenix 30-day cleanse.

This morning I stepped on the scale and I have lost a total of 4 pounds in the last 10 days. I have 20 days to go and am hoping to lose (and keep off!) 8-10 pounds so I am definitely on track.

I wish I could add exercise to my plan but my knee is still too swollen to do too much of anything.

After church yesterday we went to an all-you-cat-eat buffet and I had a slice of ham, a small salad with carrots, lettuce and a bit of dressing and a small brownie. I felt full and didn't walk away feeling guilty. The brownie was amazing since I haven't eaten too much processed sugar in the last 10 days.
